I was browsing around the Fox 8 website this morning and happened across this article covering some real estate marketing strategies for real estate agents, this atricle is in response to that piece.

I felt that the article offered a lot of good advice on the subject and did cover quite a few hotspots of activity where agents can scrape some new prospects online.  Sites like Trulia and Zillow have opened a lot of doors for agents because of their enormous market share.  It is very difficult, if not impossible, for agents to gain this level of exposure on thier own.

I also tend to point agents towards classified websites such as Craiglist and even Ebay.com to list their properties.  Ebay has a surprisingly large real estate audience and a lot of their property auctions close quite successfully.   There are a bunch of other website such as Real Estate Webmasters, ActiveRain and RealTown that are also quite useful for marketing a real estate business.

Properly and successfully marketing a real estate business online is very difficult, there is a lot of competition out there.  I highly encourage all agents to learn a bit about search engine optimization and online marketing to increase their chances of reaching new clients.

Anyways, I felt that the original article was very easy to read and hit on a lot of important places that every agent should be marketing themselves.  Agents might also want to search online for real estate marketing web marketing to find new information and tips to help make their business succeed.  Especially as the real estate industry in on a rise, we can only hope!
